Service credits

Service credits are an internal ioki representation of money. Service credits can be purchased by users or credited to users through the product. They can be used to pay for rides and personal discounts. This feature is provider-bound, meaning that if it’s active for a provider, it’s also active for all products belonging to that provider.

To use this payment option, the provider feature service credits must be active. Users can apply service credits to all products belonging to the corresponding provider.

It is also possible to define the cost and value of different service-credit bundles, which can then be purchased via ioki Passenger App or in ioki Web Booking. The admin procedure for this feature is documented in Service credits in Control Center.

It’s not possible to split the payment of a ride between service credits and another payment method. If a user has 3 € in service credits and the ride costs 4 €, the service credits are ignored and the ride still costs 4 €. In this case, the service credits are not used.
