Deactivation
A deactivation is a time-based block that temporarily deactivates a supported object.
It is different from a pause in a vehicle planning. A pause affects a driver’s working time, while a deactivation blocks availability for the affected object during a defined time range.
Deactivation is used for:
Every deactivation has a start time and an end time. A deactivation must start now or in the future, and the end time must be later than the start time. For the same object, active deactivations cannot overlap.
For vehicle plannings, an active deactivation prevents further bookings while the deactivation is active.
A deactivation can be triggered by a driver for an unplanned pause. It is also triggered automatically during a driver emergency.
Existing bookings remain in the vehicle planning, but they can be delayed if the deactivation lasts too long.
For stations, the platform can identify rides whose pickup or drop-off at the affected station overlaps with the deactivation time range.
If there are active vehicle plannings with active deactivations, Control Center shows a validation warning.
