Points of interest

The product feature points of interest (POIs) allows administrators (operators) to create and highlight special destinations in their service area.

POIs are also referred to as venues. This term is the internal ioki Platform name and is also shown in the URL of the Points of interest tab in Control Center.

If activated, Control Center shows the Points of interest area for operators with the required permissions. POIs can then be created, edited, and deleted for the product.

Use cases of this feature

Providers can use POIs to unlock new revenue streams or market their services.

Advertising

Providers can enter into advertising agreements with venues. Venues pay providers—for example, on a per month basis—to be shown as a POI in ioki Passenger App.

Pay per dropoff

Providers can contract with venues to get paid per passenger dropoff.

Cross-marketing

Providers can partner with venues and add them as POIs. The venue agrees to advertise the provider’s service—for example, through flyers, brochures, or (if the venue is a movie theater) commercials.

Activate this feature

Roles: Super Admin

1. Navigate to the management settings of the product.
2. Within the Product features section, select the checkbox Points of interest.
3. Select Save.
