HAFAS
HAFAS, short for “HaCon Fahrplan-Auskunfts-System” (HaCon Timetable Information System), is a software solution developed by Hacon GmbH, a German-based company specializing in public transport planning and information systems. HAFAS provides a range of functionalities related to public transport schedules, journey planning, and real-time information.
Connection to ioki Platform
ioki Platform connects to the HAFAS trip API if the product feature public transport alternatives is activated and HAFAS Trip is selected as the Adapter for Public Transport Alternatives.
The HAFAS API is used if the Public transport location by name adapter or the Public transport departure board adapter is set to HAFAS.
Furthermore, if the product feature public transport connections is active, stations can be connected to HAFAS stations which have a unique HAFAS ID and information on means of public transport serving these stations.
