External phone verifications

External phone verifications is a provider feature that allows integrators to use ioki SMS infrastructure for phone-number verification. This allows integrators to verify phone numbers without implementing and maintaining their own SMS gateway.

Use cases of this feature

Integrators are required to ensure that phone numbers are verified. However, many systems do not initially provide a verified phone number. When implementing phone verification, integrators frequently ask ioki to handle SMS sending, as they prefer not to add infrastructure for a single type of SMS. With the introduction of the web-booking client, the same challenge also exists internally.

Activate this feature

Roles: Super Admin

1. Navigate to the management settings of the provider.
2. Within the Provider features section, select the checkbox External phone verifications.
3. Select Save.

To use this feature, the necessary permissions must also be granted to the platform.
