Thingsboard

Thingsboard is an external but self-hosted open-source IoT (Internet of Things) platform which is used to store telemetry data from vehicles.

The integration of Thingsboard is still in its development phase. Right now, the telemetry data (including geopoints, connectivity, carrier and so on) is only pushed to Thingsboard directly from the (autonomous) Vehicle or the Driver app.

Connection to ioki Platform: the ioki Platform environments (staging, demo and production) are represented by different tenants on Thingsboard. These tenants are separated, in the sense that one tenant cannot access data of another one. However, they all use the same Thingsboard-instance and database. When a product is created, an asset of type Product is created on Thingsboard. When a vehicle is created in ioki Platform, a new device of the type Vehicle is created in Thingsboard and connected to the asset which corresponds to the product. Furthermore, a Thingsboard access token is generated for the device.
