Spotler SendPro

Spotler SendPro (formerly Flowmailer) is an Email-as-a-Service (EaaS) provider based entirely in the European Union. It is used as an external service to send emails by calling its API with the email content and metadata.

We previously used Mailgun for this service but have migrated to Spotler SendPro. While Mailgun offers EU-based servers, it is still a US-owned company, which raises concerns about data sovereignty and compliance with European data protection regulations. Spotler SendPro is based entirely in the EU. This aligns better with the goal of minimizing data exposure to non-European jurisdictions. In addition, we have moved to SMTP — the standard protocol for sending emails — which gives greater flexibility to switch EaaS providers in the future without being locked into a specific API.
