Fare estimation for ride inquiries

The product feature fare estimation for ride inquiries allows the product to provide estimated fares before a ride is booked.

When this feature is active and the estimation adapter can determine a pickup and drop-off station, ioki Platform can include an estimated fare in ride inquiry results. The estimate is based on the ride inquiry data and uses the product’s fare calculation.

Scope and limitations

Do not activate this feature if the product has a custom booking price calculation adapter that requires additional input fields other than fare_matrix_zone_code and public_transport_alternatives. Otherwise, the ride inquiry can fail because this feature intentionally keeps the ride inquiry lightweight and does not collect those additional fields.

Activate this feature

Roles: Super Admin

1. Navigate to the management settings of the product.
2. Within the Product features section, select the checkbox Fare estimation for ride inquiries.
3. Select Save.
