Refer-a-friend

Refer-a-friend is a provider feature that allows administrators (operators) to set up and run a referral program.

With this feature active, a referral code is generated for all users when they are created. Users can then share their personal referral codes with friends. If a friend installs the corresponding ioki Passenger App and enters the code, the referring user, referred user, or both can be rewarded with discounts depending on the configuration of this feature. Discounts can also be rewarded to the referring user, referred user, or both after the referred user has completed their first ride.

Referral codes are generated in ioki Platform with help of the code generator. They have a length of ten characters and always begin with the slug of the corresponding provider.

Activate this feature

Roles: Super Admin

1. Navigate to the management settings of the provider.
2. Within the Provider features section, select the checkbox Refer-a-friend.
3. Select Save.

Configure this feature

This feature can be configured within the section Refer-a-friend in the tenant settings of a provider.
