Points of interest

Permissions: create_venues, read_venues, update_venues, delete_venues

For what this feature does, see Points of interest in Platform.

If activated, Control Center shows the Points of interest area for operators with the required permissions. POIs can then be created, edited, and deleted for the product. This item appears in the Control Center product sidebar only when the points of interest product feature is active.

View points of interest

Permissions: read_venues

From the product overview in Control Center, select Points of interest in the left sidebar. In this view, POIs are listed in a table containing the following information.

For each point of interest, a gear (⚙️) icon is displayed on the right. Selecting this icon opens a dropdown menu.

Create a point of interest

Permissions: create_venues

To create a POI, select Create new and enter the following information.

  • Venue type. Select Coffee, Drug Store, Hospital, Hotel, Other, Restaurant, Sharing Station, Station, Train, Tram, or Wine Bar from the dropdown menu.
  • Search address (optional): Use this to search for an address. Selecting an address from the search results automatically populates the remaining fields.
  • Name. Enter the name of the POI.
  • Latitude. Enter the latitude of the POI.
  • Longitude. Enter the longitude of the POI.
  • Street (optional): Enter the street name of the POI.
  • Street number (optional): Enter the street number of the POI.
  • Postal code (optional): Enter the postal code of the POI.
  • City (optional): Enter the name of the city where the POI is located.
  • County (optional): Enter the name of the county where the POI is located.
  • Country (optional): Enter the name of the country where the POI is located.

Select Save.

Open the detailed view of a point of interest

To open the detailed view of a POI, select ⚙️ > Show in the dropdown menu.

Edit a point of interest

To edit a POI, select ⚙️ > Edit in the dropdown menu. Make the desired changes and then select Save.

Delete a point of interest

To delete a POI, select ⚙️ > Delete in the dropdown menu.
