Operator event targets

Operator event targets define which email addresses or phone numbers receive notifications for a specific operator. For the operator emails sent to these targets, see Emails.

Create an operator event target

Permissions: manage_operators

Select Create new and enter the following information.

  • Event target type. Select E-Mail or SMS.
  • Target. Enter the destination for the selected target type.
    • E-Mail targets must use a valid email address.
    • Email addresses with common domain typos are rejected.
    • SMS targets must use a valid phone number.
  • Active. Choose whether the target is marked as active.

Select Save.

An operator cannot have the same target more than once for the same target type. The same value can still be reused for a different target type or for a different operator.

In the current implementation, marking an email target as inactive does not stop every email notification. If you need to stop all email notifications for an address, delete the target instead of relying only on Active.
