Rematch to different vehicle

In some cases, it is helpful to assign already booked rides to different vehicle plannings. For example, this can be useful if a vehicle breaks down or a driver has to cancel a shift.

For these cases, Control Center provides the option to rematch rides to other vehicle plannings. This is possible only if a ride is in the state Driver accepted.

The option is in the dropdown menu of each ride.

Before triggering rematching and finding other ways to serve the ride request, choose whether the already negotiated times — that is, the times communicated to the user — should be preserved.

If preserve negotiated times is selected, the rematching algorithm only moves the ride in case the old negotiation times can still be guaranteed. If the option is not chosen, the ride gets rematched to a position it fits into that might, however, not have the same timings that were originally communicated.

In this overview, it is also possible to select which vehicle plannings should be considered for the request by selecting the corresponding boxes. Note, however, that the index of vehicle plannings shows all active vehicle plannings and is not prefiltered to include only those that can actually serve the request.

As soon as the Execute button is clicked, the re-matching algorithm is called. Note that this has the same base as the matching algorithm. However, only the selected vehicle plannings are considered in the Planning List Builder of the matching process.

It is also possible to assign an entire vehicle planning to a new vehicle. In this case, no rematching is required. However, this is possible only if the selected new vehicle does not already have an overlapping vehicle planning.
