Task list default properties

In the Task list default properties section of the tenant settings of a product, the default values for new vehicle plannings can be set. A vehicle planning is also known as a task list, and these settings prefill the form that opens when you create a new one—so a planner starts from sensible values instead of an empty form.

These are defaults for the new-planning form only. They prefill the fields the moment a planning is created; changing them later does not alter vehicle plannings that already exist. Every field can still be overridden per planning before saving. Each value is stored on the product itself, and all fields are optional except the two service-time fields, which always carry a value.

Default start place

This setting is optionally set to one of the product’s predefined places. When set, it prefills the start location of a new vehicle planning, marking where the vehicle begins its service.

Default end place

This setting is optionally set to one of the product’s predefined places. When set, it prefills the end location where the vehicle is expected to finish its service.

The start-place and end-place dropdowns only list places belonging to this product that have not been archived. If a chosen place is later archived, add or re-select a place so new plannings keep a valid default.

Default service time start

The clock time at which a new planning’s service is set to begin. It is chosen from a dropdown in 15-minute increments across the full day (00:00 to 24:00), and is stored as an offset (in seconds) from midnight rather than as an absolute timestamp.

When a new planning is created, this offset is combined with the planning’s date in the product’s timezone to produce the concrete start time.

Default service time duration

The length of the service window, chosen from a dropdown in 15-minute increments. The default end time of a new planning is derived by adding this duration to the default service time start—this setting is a duration, not an end time.

The form dropdown offers durations from 00:00 up to 24:00 in 15-minute steps.

Default matching configuration

Optionally chosen from the product’s matching configurations, it prefills which matching configuration a new vehicle planning uses. The dropdown lists only the product’s non-archived matching configurations.
