Passenger options

For what passenger options are, see Passenger options in Platform. Passengers choose these when they book a ride.

Standard roles have read-only access to passenger options. Creating, editing, and deleting them is restricted to a Super Admin by default.

View passenger options

Permissions: read_passenger_options

From the product overview in Control Center, select Passenger options in the left sidebar.

Create a passenger option

Permissions: create_passenger_options (a Super Admin)

To create a passenger option, select Create new and enter the following information.

Attributes

  • Name. Enter the name of the passenger option.
  • Slug. Enter the slug of the passenger option. In general, slugs serve as unique identifiers that are used to reliably identify resources. Slugs may only contain lowercase letters (aโ€“z), numbers (0โ€“9), underscores (_), and hyphens (-). Spaces, uppercase letters, and special characters are not allowed.
  • Data type. Select boolean, integer, or string from the dropdown menu. This sets the data type of the value of this passenger option.
  • boolean is used for a true/false or yes/no check, for example, the typical passenger option wheelchair.
  • integer is used if a count is important, for example, the typical ride option large baggage.
  • string is used for a text input, for example, if a user must enter what they have with them or the name of a public transport ticket.
  • Bookable. Select yes or no from the dropdown menu. This determines whether the passenger option may be used to book a ride.
  • Type (icon). Select accompanying, bahncard, bicycle, childseat, default, default_alt, disabled_pass, dog, german_railway, id_card, luggage, national_ticket, pt_ticket, pushchair, walker, or wheelchair from the dropdown menu. This field determines which icon should be rendered for the passenger option.
  • Sort key. Enter a sort key. This field is used to order the passenger options in Control Center and in ioki Passenger App.
  • Fare report column. Select a fare report column from the dropdown, or select - to leave the option out of passenger option report columns. The column names can be customized in the provider-level custom report column name settings for passenger options.

Resource consumption

Specify the resources that are required by the passenger option.
