Places

Permissions: create_places, read_places, update_places, delete_places

For what places are, see Places in Platform.

View places

From the product overview in Control Center, select Places in the left sidebar. In this view, places are listed in a table containing the following information.

ID	Place identifier
Name	Place name
Slug	Place slug
Description	Place description
Address	Place address

Create a place

To create a place, select Create new and enter the following information.

• Search address (optional): Use this to search for an address. Selecting an address from the search results automatically populates the remaining fields.
• Name. Enter the name of the place.
• Slug. Enter the slug of the place. In general, slugs serve as unique identifiers that are used to reliably identify resources. Slugs may only contain lowercase letters (a–z), numbers (0–9), underscores (_), and hyphens (-). Spaces, uppercase letters, and special characters are not allowed.
• Description (optional)
• Street (optional): Enter the street name of the place.
• Street number (optional): Enter the street number of the place.
• Postal code (optional): Enter the postal code of the place.
• City (optional): Enter the name of the city where the place is located.
• County (optional): Enter the name of the county where the place is located.
• Country (optional): Enter the name of the country where the place is located.
• Latitude. Enter the latitude of the place.
• Longitude. Enter the longitude of the place.
• Approach. Defines how a vehicle should access the place. Choose from the following options:
  • Curbside: The vehicle should stop exactly at the curbside.
  • Street (default): The vehicle can stop at any side of the street.

Select Save.

Place properties

Select whether the place is a Depot or a Waiting position. For what each property means, see Places in Platform.

Select Save.

Open the detailed view of a place

To open the detailed view of a place, select ⚙️ > Show in the dropdown menu. Alternatively, select its name in the table.

The following tabs are shown in the detailed view.

Overview

This tab provides an overview of the place details and shows its location on a map.

Inspect

This tab displays a technical summary of the attributes of the place.

Edit a place

To edit a place, select ⚙️ > Edit in the dropdown menu. Make the desired changes and then select Save.

Delete a place

To delete a place, select ⚙️ > Delete in the dropdown menu and then OK.
