Text messages

Permissions: read_sms, send_sms, delete_sms

An administrator and a driver can communicate via text messages (SMS) directly from Control Center to a mobile device. This is only possible, if the provider has set up a Twilio.

To use this feature, click on the name of the driver in the top level index Drivers. Then choose the tab Text Messages and simply enter the message and hit the Send (paper plane) icon or Ctrl + Enter. Note, that this tab is only visible, if a phone number of the driver has been specified.

The message is send directly as an SMS to this phone number. Also, if the driver replies, the text messages are shown here.

A small green icon with a hook is displayed in the right corner of the text field if new messages of the driver have arrived. This can be clicked to indicate that new messages were read.
