Ticketing

Permissions: read_tickets, cancel_tickets

For what this feature does, see Ticketing in Platform. This item appears in the Control Center product sidebar only when the ticketing product feature is active.

View tickets

An index of all tickets is available at the top level of the product overview.

Since a ticket always belongs to a ride and cannot be purchased on its own, the ticket information can also always be found in the detailed view of the corresponding ride.

If no ticket was issued or offered for the ride, only the message

No Ticket available: There is no public transport ticket for this ride available.

is shown in the corresponding tab.

This can happen if the ticketing adapter None is chosen or if no ticket was needed for the corresponding ride. When a ride is booked, the ticket adapter first checks whether a ticket is needed. In the VHH Hochbahn Adapter, for example, this is only the case if the passenger has selected in ioki Passenger App that they do not already have a public transport ticket.

In any other case, an overview on the ticket data is shown here:

  • ID. This is the internal ticket ID for this ioki Platform ticket.
  • Ticket. These are the IDs of the externally issued tickets contained in this ioki Platform ticket. If a ride is booked for three people and all of them need a ticket, three external ticket IDs are shown. However, since there is only one ride, there is only one internal ioki Platform ticket.
  • State. A ticket always has a state. The possibilities are offered, issued, retrieved and cancelled. See more in the section on the states in Platform.
  • Price. Shows the price of the ticket.
  • Issuer. Displays who issued a ticket.
  • Issued at. Timestamp of when the ticket was issued.
  • Retrieved at. When did the passenger retrieve the ticket, i.e., when was the first time the ticket was really displayed.
  • Canceled at. If the ticket was canceled: timestamp.
  • Cancellation Reason. The reason why the ticket was canceled. At the moment, the two available options are purchase failed and passenger canceled the ticket. This does not cover all cases completely, since a ticket can also be canceled by an administrator.
  • Created at. Timestamp showing when the ticket was first created.

In addition, Super Admins can display the ticket in the web browser by selecting Show. This is limited to Super Admins, because displaying the ticket always sets the state to retrieved, and this cannot be undone.

Note that the URI of the ticket contains an access token that is accessible only to the passenger, preventing access by unauthorized persons.

If a ticket was issued, the passenger gets an email receipt, if a user email has been specified. An explanatory text can be set in the provider settings.

Cancel a ticket

An administrator can cancel a ticket via Control Center, as long as it is in the state issued or retrieved. This can be done either on the ticket tab of the corresponding ride or on the top-level Tickets index in Control Center. In this case, ioki Platform ticket is marked as canceled and a cancellation is also sent to eos.uptrade.

Note that if a ticket is canceled via Control Center, the cancellation reason is currently still set to “Canceled by passenger”.

Note further that, for VHH, this is possible only if it is not the day of the ride. In that case, only a Super Admin can still cancel the ticket.
