Create a ride

There are three different possibilities how a ride can be created. The most common is a request from a passenger via ioki Passenger App. Another possibility is the request via the Booking Wizard, if Operator Booking is activated. The third option is the manual creation of a ride by an administrator, which is only used for testing.
Regardless of how it is created, a ride is always initiated with a requested number of passengers, the corresponding passenger and ride options, and requested points for origin and destination.
The matching algorithm tries to find the best solution to serve the request. Therefore, suitable Pickup and Dropoff tasks are inserted to vehicle plannings. Depending on the matching mode, this can be addresses or stations.
If the matching is successful, calculated points and negotiation times are calculated.
