ioki Operator

Important notice to our customers

As of February 15, 2025, the following pages of the Control Center, which are marked with a warning, will be permanently discontinued:

  • Homepage with map
  • Rides
  • Vehicle splannings
  • Vehicle occupations
  • Vehicles
  • Drivers
  • Stations
  • Places
  • Areas
  • Zones
  • Restricted areas
  • Reasons for Cancellation

All other pages will remain available in the Control Center and can still be accessed at any time via the ioki Operator or the Control Center.

It will remain possible to use both systems in parallel. However, for daily operations, we recommend using the ioki Operator.

The migration of additional features will take place gradually. Detailed information about the changes will be provided in the upcoming Release Notes.

Please note that the ioki Operator will cover all essential functions for daily service operations. Not all functions of the Control Center will be transferred immediately, but we are continuously working on making them available in an improved form.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this transition!

The following functions have been transferred from the Control Center to the ioki Operator this month.

ioki Passenger App

DEFAS Bayern (Mentz) public transport integration

The ioki Platform offers many ways to better integrate on-demand services with public transport, creating a comfortable, seamless, and efficient travel experience for users of the ioki Passenger App. These include:

  • Displaying multimodal trips and intermodal journeys
  • Showing public transport connections
  • Enabling parallel rides prevention

To ensure that transport companies using the EFA (Electronic Timetable Information System) from MENTZ can also benefit from these features, we have implemented the DEFAS JSON API from MENTZ. This adapter is now available in addition to our existing DB HAFAS adapter.

Note to driver

Passengers, as well as operators, can now add a note during the booking process to provide additional information to the drivers. This is particularly useful in the following situations:

  • When passengers require assistance accessing the vehicle.
  • In challenging pick-up situations (e.g., at construction sites).

One note per ride is allowed, with a maximum of 250 characters. In the ioki Passenger App, passengers can view the note in the ride details.

Message from passenger

As described above (ioki Passenger App - Note to the driver), passengers and operators can now include a message with a booking to provide additional information to the driver. In the ioki Vehicle App the message will be shown in Destinations.

Stop information for drivers

The ioki Vehicle App now displays important notes, warnings, or hazards related to stations directly in the task list. A red information icon alerts the driver to relevant details, which can be accessed with minimal effort. Tapping the icon opens an in-app banner with the corresponding information. Operators can easily share these messages with drivers through the In-App Banner tab in the Control Center.

Notification center

Drivers can now review important messages from the operator in the notification center of the ioki Vehicle App. This ensures that important information remains accessible at any time, even if it was missed during the ride. This feature will be available in version 3.1.0 of the ioki Vehicle App.

Change of payment method

From now on, drivers can change the payment method between POS card and cash payment. The change is only possible before the pick-up confirmation. This feature allows for more flexible handling of situations where a specific payment method is unavailable or not possible. This feature will be available in version 3.1.0 of the ioki Vehicle App.

Additional information in ride requests

The driver can now not only see the pick-up time and pick-up location in the ride request, but also the planned arrival time and destination. This allows them to better assess whether the ride fits into their schedule. This feature was specially developed for taxi operations, where ride requests can be accepted or rejected manually. This feature will be available in version 3.1.0 of the ioki Vehicle App.

Settings at the provider level

GDPR - User account deletion

Inactive customer accounts are now automatically deleted. Providers can define the inactivity period in months, as well as the notice period before deletion. After the specified inactivity period, users will receive an initial email notification, followed by two additional reminders, informing them that they can reactivate their account by becoming active. If no activity occurs within the given time frame, the account will be automatically deleted. Accounts that are reactivated through activity will be retained.

Do you have any questions or need further information about the setup? Simply contact your account manager.
