Get started and sign in
To book on the web, open your provider’s website in a browser. The address is the one your provider gave you, such as example.ride-booking.com. You do not need to install an app.
Open the site
The site opens on a welcome screen showing the service name, logo, and a short claim. From here you can create an account or sign in.
If the service is not available yet, the welcome screen shows a message instead of the sign-in options. In that case there is nothing to do until the provider makes the service live.
Create an account
How you sign up depends on your provider:
- With a phone number. Enter your phone number, confirm it with the code sent to you by SMS, and set a password.
- With an email address. Enter your email address and set a password.
Some providers offer both and let you choose.
Set up your profile
As part of creating your account, you provide your name, confirm you meet any minimum age the provider requires, and accept the terms and conditions. Depending on the provider, you may also be asked for an email address or a phone number if that detail is required.
Sign in and out
Once you have an account, sign in from the welcome screen with the same method you used to sign up. If you forget your password, use the password recovery option to reset it—this works for both phone and email sign-in.
Announcements
Your provider can show an in-app banner at the top of the site—for example, to tell you about service changes or disruptions. A banner can carry a link to more information, and you can dismiss it. If it is marked to show on every visit, it appears again the next time you open the site.
