Connect to the platform

A web booking site is a front end for a provider that lives on the ioki Platform. The connection lets the site read that provider’s products, features, payment setup, and support and legal information, and keep them current.

When you create a provider, you also enter its platform connection details: the provider it maps to on the ioki Platform and the credentials the site uses to talk to the platform. These are set in the control panel and are required for the site to load real data.

Keep the provider in sync

After the link is in place, the site refreshes the data it reads from the platform about every 15 minutes, so changes made on the platform reach the site without manual re-entry. Synced information includes the provider’s name and legal details, its features, its payment setup, and its support and legal URLs.

You can also trigger a sync from the control panel when you need a change to take effect immediately rather than waiting for the next scheduled refresh.
