Configure web booking
This section is for iokians who set up and maintain ioki Web Booking providers. A provider in this context is one branded web booking website. You create and configure providers in a dedicated control panel, separate from Control Center.
Open the control panel
You sign in with your ioki Platform account. Access to the control panel, and what you can do inside it, is controlled by permissions granted on the ioki Platform.
Permissions:
access_webbooking_admin_interface
The Web Booking Admin role bundles the permissions needed to administer web booking.
What you can do inside the control panel depends on your permissions:
- Edit a provider you are assigned to—
update_providerfor that provider. - Create or delete providers—
manage_providers, available to a Super Admin. - View a provider’s users—
read_users.
The control-panel links for each environment are on the Web Booking overview.
How a provider is identified
Each provider is identified by two values:
- Subdomain. The provider-specific part of the address, such as
exampleinexample.ride-booking.com. - Domain. One of the shared web booking domains, such as
ride-booking.comorfahrt-buchen.de.
Together they form the site’s live address, subdomain.domain. A passenger who visits that address sees only that provider’s branding, languages, products, and features.
In this section
- Create a provider. Set up a new provider and its address.
- Branding and appearance. Names, colors, logo, and map icons.
- Languages and locale. Available languages, default language, timezone, and phone country defaults.
- Data collection and sign-in. The sign-in method and what contact details the site collects.
- Payment. How payment options reach the site.
- Connect to the platform. Link a provider to the ioki Platform and keep it in sync.
- Take a provider live. Switch the site online or show an offline message.
