Public transport tickets
Where the product supports ticketing, the app includes a ticket shop for buying public transport tickets alongside your rides. This works the same on iOS and Android.
Buy a ticket
Open the ticket shop and choose a ticket. Depending on the ticket, you set details such as:
- the start and destination
- the valid dates
- the number and type of passengers
- passenger details required for a personal ticket
The app shows the price before you confirm, and you pay with one of your payment methods. See Pay and manage money for payment options.
Show a ticket
Your tickets are stored in the app. Open a ticket to show its QR code for inspection. The app also shows each ticket’s validity period.
Manage tickets and subscriptions
From your tickets, you can:
- see active, upcoming, and expired tickets
- renew a subscription
- cancel a ticket, where the ticket type allows it, and receive any applicable refund
Buy a ticket for a ride
If a ride requires a public transport ticket, the app reminds you before the ride and lets you buy the required ticket as part of the booking.
Troubleshooting
When you open a ticket, the app downloads and syncs it before it shows the QR code. If it can’t show the ticket, the message tells you why:
- The ticket has expired. The app shows an expiry message. This is the correct message when the ticket is no longer valid, for example after a cancellation.
- The ticket couldn’t be loaded. The app shows a generic loading error and asks you to contact support. This message appears when the ticket can’t be shown for another reason, such as a temporary problem while the app loads it.
The app tells expiry and loading problems apart, so a ticket that can’t be loaded no longer shows a misleading expiry message. If you see the loading error, try opening the ticket again. If the problem continues, contact support.
