Track your ride
After a ride is booked, the app follows its progress in real time until drop-off.
Follow the vehicle on the map
The map shows the vehicle’s position as it approaches, together with an estimated time of arrival that updates as the vehicle moves. As the ride progresses, the app updates the status from booking confirmation through to drop-off. When the vehicle reaches the pickup point, the app tells you that your shuttle has arrived and asks you to show your booking code to the driver.
The map uses the platform’s native mapping: Apple Maps on iOS and Google Maps on Android. This changes the look of the map but not how you track a ride.
See vehicle and driver details
The app shows the details you need to recognize your ride, which can include:
- the driver’s name
- the vehicle model, color, and license plate
- the fuel type
The exact details depend on the product and the vehicle.
Contact the driver
If the product allows it, the app shows a call action so you can reach the driver about the current ride. The app starts the call through your phone; your number is not shown to the driver directly.
Walk to the pickup and drop-off point
If your pickup or drop-off is at a nearby stop rather than your exact location, the app shows the walking route and the time you need to reach it.
Make sure you arrive at the pickup point in time. If you miss the vehicle, the product can record a service violation, which can lead to a charge and, depending on the product, to temporarily blocked bookings after repeated service violations, such as no-shows or late cancellations.
Ride in an autonomous vehicle
Some products operate autonomous vehicles. When your ride uses one, the app guides you through the extra steps a driver would otherwise handle:
- unlock and open the doors from the app when the vehicle arrives
- fasten your seatbelt before the vehicle can start, following the on-screen reminder
- get help from the service center if you need assistance during the ride
The first time you book an autonomous ride, the app can show a short introduction that explains how these steps work.
