Switch environments
Every app can connect to any environment, so you can move between production, staging, and demo without installing a separate app. After download from TestFlight, the Apple App Store, or Google Play, each app starts on production.
To switch, you enter a password for the target environment. The passwords are the same on iOS and Android:
- Production: clear the text field
- Staging:
Rufus - Demo:
Brutus
Switching environments is intended for testing. In a different environment you sign in against different data, so log out first and log back in after switching.
On iOS
- Log out of the app.
- Open iOS Settings, search for the app name, and open its settings.
- In the Environment field, enter the password for the environment you want, or clear the field for
production. - Go back one screen to apply the change.
- Close and restart the app.
- Log back in to the new environment.
To confirm the environment, open the main menu. A small indicator at the bottom shows S for staging or D for demo. For production, no indicator is shown.
On Android
- Log out of the app and go to the phone-number login screen.
- Tap the shuttle icon with four short taps and one long tap: short, short, short, short, long. A dialog opens.
- Enter the password for the environment you want, or clear the field for
production, then press OK. - The app restarts in the new environment.
To confirm the environment, check the small text at the bottom of the phone-number login screen. It shows [staging] or [demo]. If neither is shown, you are on production.
